Charles Coburn has been appointed to the role of underwriting manager at Cassidy Davis Syndicate 779, the Life Syndicate at Lloyd's managed by Jubilee Managing Agency.

Coburn joins Syndicate 779 with a brief to develop new business and strengthen strategic key relationships. He joins from Direct Group, where he held the role of business development manager. Before that, he spent eight years at Sterling Life. He will spearhead work on developing products and underwriting solutions which will enable Cassidy Davis Life to meet the needs of a wide range of financial and affinity clients.

Brian Jackson, active underwriter at Cassidy Davis Life, said: "Charles is one of a number of new appointments in preparation for the life syndicate's relaunch into the London Market. We are delighted to have him on board."
