Omega Shareholders Requisition a Special General Meeting 07/12/2009
Invesco Asset Management Limited has indicated a requisition of a special general meeting to Omega Insurance Holdings Limited to include the removal of outgoing Chairman Walter Fiederowicz and non-executive director Christopher Clarke from the board of directors, to appoint John Coldman and James Bryce in their places and also the appointment of four other directors to the board.
Omega have stated that the proposals will continue to be discussed with Invesco (having first been received on 3rd December) and also with other key shareholders in further detail with a view to seeking shareholder support against them. The Omega board considers the proposals not to be in the best interests of the Company
