Dale Syndicate 1729: 2019 Result and Updated 2020 Forecast

Asta has announced its result for the 2019 year of account for its syndicate 1729 and has also released an updated forecast for the 2020 year of account.
The 2019 result of a profit of +3.1% of capacity is above the midpoint of the previous forecast range, which was set between -5% and +10% of capacity, midpoint +2.5%.
The 2020 forecast range is unchanged at between -5.0 and +10.0% of capacity (midpoint +2.5%).
Alpha Comment
After 4 years of losses it is a relief to see this syndicate make a profit, and happily slightly above the mid-point of the previous forecast range. Hopefully, now that the syndicate is gaining critical mass, this is the beginning of a profitable period. There is a similar level of profit currently forecast for the 2020 year of account and high single figure returns planned for the 2021 and 2022 years of account.
