Meacock Syndicate 727 2020 & 2021 Year of Account Forecasts

S.A. Meacock has released updated forecasts for the 2020 and 2021 years of accounts for syndicate 727 as at 30th June 2022.

The 2020 forecast range has narrowed to between -3.0% and +7.0% of capacity. The previous range was between -6.5% and +8.5%% of capacity (midpoint +1% of capacity). The midpoint has improved to a profit of +2% of capacity.

The 2021 forecast is unchanged at between -8.0% and +12.0% of capacity, midpoint +2% of capacity.

Alpha Comment

We would expect the improvement in the forecast for 2020 to continue to gain momentum in the next quarters before close as the loss ratios are performing well and the reserves are expected to continue to develop favourably. In recent years, the syndicate has kept its early forecasts stable, therefore it is unsurprising that the 2021 forecast is unchanged at this stage. We remain confident that this year of account has the potential to produce a strong profit, particularly since the syndicate has limited exposure to the war in Ukraine and the leased aircraft in Russia.
