Lloyd’s appoints Andrew Brooks as deputy chair of the Council

The former CEO and underwriter of Ascot (ex Catlin), Andrew Brooks, has been appointed as the deputy chair of the Council of Lloyd’s, replacing Aon’s Dominic Christian (whose term expired at the end of January). Brooks also chairs the Lloyd’s Market Association (LMA) and has been a member of the Lloyd’s Council since 2017. He has worked in the London market since 1983.
The Council of Lloyd’s now comprises:
- Bruce Carnegie-Brown – Non-executive Chair
- Lord Sedwill – Senior Independent Deputy Chair & Chair of ESG committee
- Andrew Brooks – Deputy Chair
- Victoria Carter (Guy Carpenter) – Deputy Chair
- John Neal – CEO
- Burkhard Keese – CFO
- Patrick Tiernan – Chief of Markets
- Jeffery Barratt – Elected representative of independent third-party capital
- Angela Crawford-Ingle – Chair of the audit committee
- Richard Dudley (AON) – Working member
- Karen Green (Asta) – Chair of the investment committee
- Dominic Hoare (Munich Re) – Corporate external member
- Fiona Luck (Convex) – Chair of the remuneration committee
- Neil Maidment – Chair of risk committee & Chair of the capacity transfer panel
- John Sununu – Independent non-executive member
