Lancashire has announced its result for the 2022 year of account and an updated forecast for the 2023 year of account for syndicate 2010
The 2022 year has closed with a profit of +4.32%. This compares with the previous forecast profit in the range of 0.0% to+5.0%, midpoint +2.5%.
The 2023 forecast has seen a widening of its range of +10.0% to +20.0%, but with the same midpoint of +15.0%. The previous forecast profit was in the range of +12.5% to +17.5%.
Alpha comment
The 2022 year was impacted by a large loss from hurricane Ian. The improvement in the final quarter was despite a small reduction in anticipated investment income and prior year releases.
The 2023 midpoint is unchanged but Lancashire believes the final result will be towards the top end of the range.
