S.A. Meacock has released an updated forecast for the 2023 and 2024 years of account for syndicate 727.
Syndicate 727
The 2023 forecast has improved to a profit between +6.0% and +18.0% of capacity, midpoint +12.0%. The previous forecast range was between +3.0% and +18.0%, midpoint +10.5%.
The 2024 forecast has remained in the range of between -5.0% and +15.0% of capacity, midpoint +5.0%.
Alpha comment
It is positive that the 2023 year of account has improved the lower end of the range forecast, meaning that the overall midpoint has improved. This still looks cautious and we expect the forecasts to continue to improve before closure.
The 2024 year is unchanged as tends to be the pattern with the Meacock forecasts which tend to be conservative and at closure prior year releases usually contribute more to the profitability of the syndicate than its peers.
