Hiscox has released an updated forecast for the 2023 and 2024 years of account for syndicate 33 and SPA 6104
Syndicate 33
The 2023 forecast has remained in the range of between +12.0% and +22.0% of capacity, midpoint +17.0%.
The 2024 forecast has improved to a profit between +2.4% and +14.4% of capacity, midpoint +8.4%. The previous forecast range was between +1.7% and +13.7%, midpoint +7.7%.
SPA 6104
The 2023 forecast has improved to a profit between +41.0% and +51.0% of capacity, midpoint +46.0%. The previous forecast range was between +38.5% and +48.5%, midpoint +43.5%.
The 2024 forecast has improved to a profit between +7.5% and +25.0% of capacity, midpoint +16.3%. The previous forecast range was between +5.3% and +22.8%, midpoint +14.1%.
Alpha comment
It is encouraging to see the 2024 forecasts have both improved, despite an active hurricane season and the 2025 LA Wildfires, much of which falls back into 2024.
