Lloyd’s has appointed Dame Clara Furse as Senior Independent Director and Deputy Chair of the Council subject to regulatory approval. She will join Lloyd’s in September and will take over Deputy Chair when Fiona Luck leaves the Corporation in February 2027.
Sir Charles Roxburgh, Chair of Lloyd’s, said:
“I am delighted that Dame Clara has agreed to join the Council as our next Senior Independent Director. She brings exceptional leadership and governance experience from across global financial markets, alongside a deep understanding of complex, regulated environments. Her judgement, independence and external credibility will be a great asset to Lloyd’s as we continue to deliver on our strategic priorities. I would also like to thank Fiona Luck for her significant contribution in the role and for the support she will provide to ensure a smooth transition ahead of September.”
