Justin Dowley

Justin has extensive experience with over 35 years spent within the banking, investment and asset management sector. Justin was also a non-executive director of Novae, a Lloyd’s managing agency.

A chartered accountant, Justin qualified with Price Waterhouse and was latterly Vice Chairman of EMEA Investment Banking, a division of Nomura International plc. He was also a founder partner of Tricorn Partners, Head of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch Europe and a director of Morgan Grenfell.

Justin currently serves as the Senior Independent Director of Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust PLC, a director of a number of private companies, Steward of the Jockey Club and Deputy Chairman of The Panel on Takeovers and Mergers.

Justin has been an underwriting member at Lloyd’s since 2013 and he joined the Alpha Board as a non-executive director in 2022. Justin is due to take over as Alpha’s non-executive Chairman in September 2022.
