Death of Michael Meacock, Active Underwriter of syndicate 727

We are incredibly sad to learn of the death of Michael Meacock, who was the active underwriter of the highly successful syndicate 727 for over 55 years.

Michael was also a valued director of Alpha from 2007-2021.

Michael’s deputy underwriter, Alec Taylor, will assume overall responsibility for underwriting on an interim basis.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Michael’s family and colleagues, as well as the wider Lloyd’s community who revered him as the ‘Father of the House’. He will be much missed.
